Yes indeed, about every 6 weeks – I get an hour for £40 and it is the best £40 I ever spend 🙂

Free speech doesn’t include hate speech? That’s a very odd statement. Stopping people saying they hate something doesn’t stop them hating it (anymore than stopping them saying they love something would stop them loving it). Given this, it’s surely better to let them speak and know where things stand and manage matters accordingly?

and feel the effects of gravity.

Actually you don’t. You feel the effect of the earth beneath your feat (or seat under your posterior) resisting the effects of gravity.

  • It does depend on which warehouse is holding the item originally. I’ve had several things over the years where it turned out to be held in a European warehouse and the minimum time time even with expedited delivery would be 4-5 days. They were transferred first to an UK warehouse before onward delivery.

Not that I’m defending Amazon! I would not…[Read more]

I take it the TV doesn’t have “Smart” functions, as on my TV this stuff all just works (via Web OS).

Interested though as my TV in the shed could do with an android stick thingamy.

Yesterday morning I broke a back molar, been in agony with it cutting my tongue until my emergency appointment this afternoon. I am petrified of dentists having been shouted and sworn at by the last one I saw when I was 13, and managed to avoid them since so this was super stressful and I threw up in the waiting room – the shame!

    The emergency…[Read more]

Horrid thing to be involved with.

It sounds like you did what you could, and kept your head. If you’d not been there doing what you could, maybe a young mum would have gone in the water and the tragedy would be even worse. Well done mate, its right to be upset, but you did exactly the right thing I suspect.

    Go round theirs, hug.

Not a solicitor but this could be interpreted as withholding the car behind locked gates.

“With the intention of permanently depriving the other of it”.

  • mel replied to the topic I've given up diet drinks in the forum Health 5 months, 1 week ago

I think that is a pretty small sample size, but I quit Diet drinks a 18 months ago too.

I was told that when you drink a diet drink your body prepares for sugar, as it tastes sweet. No sugar comes, so your body is left all unbalanced. Also, your body does not know what to do with chemicals, it does not recognise it as “food” and therefore puts it…[Read more]

  • Just wondering if you’re aware of Masai Barefoot Technology and their (very pricey) shoes. It might be worth a browse on their website.

    https://www.backinaction.co.uk/mbt-info

They take some getting used to but they are very good.

@mike That’s a really interesting site. Thanks for the posting the link. That sort of shoe might well work for me s…[Read more]

  • Any one use insoles in there shoes?

I have low aches to my feet which is making it painful, doctor said just to get some insoles to lift the aches, but on a quick google it seems to be a mine field.

    So any recommendations?

My doctor was less then helpful and said “oh just some insoles from any where” jeez thanks dr!
